THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

The New Orleans tragedy was a disaster waiting to happen.

THOUGHT FOR THE YEAR:

Three lies are responsible for American support for the War in Iraq: belief that weapons of mass destruction exist, belief that Saddam Hussein was connected with 9/11, and belief that the rest of the world either doesn't count or is on our side. THOSE WHO KNOW THE TRUTH OPPOSE THE WAR BY A MARGIN OF THREE TO ONE.

THOUGHT FOR THE DECADE:

POLITICIANS WHO WAIT FOR HARD EVIDENCE OF GLOBAL WARMING ARE LIKE SKYDIVERS WHO REFUSE TO OPEN THEIR PARACHUTES UNTIL THE GROUND IS WITHIN REACH.
ADDENDUM: THE RESIDENTS OF NEW ORLEANS JUST HIT GROUND FIRST
